21 year old Kim Joo Ri Was crowned as the new Miss Korea 2009 held on July 8 at Sejong Center, Seoul, South Korea. Kim Joo Ri will represent Korea at the Miss Universe 2010 Beauty Pageant. She was crowned by Na Re, Miss Korea 2008. 1st run-up to the title of Miss Korea 2009 is Cha Ye Rin. She will represent the country at the Miss World 2009 Competition on December 12 at Johannesburg, South Africa. Seo Eun Mi was named as the 2nd run-up and will go on to compete at Miss International 2009 to be held in Macau, China and in Japan. 3rd run-up title was given to Bak Ye Ju and she will be competing at the Miss Earth 2009 to be held in the Philippines. Completing the top 7 finalists of Miss Korea 2009 Beauty Contest are Yu Su Jeong, Yi Seul Gi and Choe Ji Hui.
